These badger groups will be holding events between October the 4th and October 12th. Please keep checking here for more details.

West Surrey Badger Group                

Sponsored walk, Sunday 4th October from The Chantries, Guildford  10am

North East Essex Badger Group  

6th October North East Essex group will be at Lush Colchester 11am - 3pm on National Badger Day to raise awareness and inform the public

Sunday 11th October - A special opening of Glazenwood, Bradwell, Braintree, Essex, CM77 8ET


Enjoy the beautiful gardens, meet Mr Badger and his woodland friends. Take part in a treasure trail around the parkland, story telling, face painting, stalls and entertainment. Refreshments available.

Oxfordshire badger group plan to invite members and the general public to join them in a number of events.

Great Oxfordshire Badger watch - "GO BADGER" and report local badger activity

Badger watches and set survey training field events will be organised.

Herts and Middlesex Badger group are planning " 7 great days for badgers"

Educational walks, talks, projects, fundraising and fun!

Monday 5th October - 10am-12 noon - Wildlife Walk at Heartwood Forest. Meet main carpark 10am, Refreshments available

 6th October - "Badgers on Board" - The group will be casting off from Broxbourne in the canal boat "Mr Badger" for a day of merriment with some special guests along the Lee. Meet us along the towpath, look out for the badgers and join in the fun.

8.00pm Talk by Dr Jenny Jones to talk about her work and badger sett recording, Venue Mead Hall, East Lane, Wheathampstead, AL4 8BP

4th October West Midlands Badger group will have a stall at the following event - Sarehole Mill Foodcraft and Vintage market, Colbank road, B13 OBD

6th October  -West Midlands badger group will be at Lush in Solihull from 11am to 430pm and Lush in Birmingham from 10am - 4pm

You are invited to a talk on The Secret Life of Badgers. Mike Noonan from the University of Oxford's WildCRU will give a presentation about his work tracking wild badgers using innovative magneto-inductive devices. Mike's research has tracked the animals above and below ground and has revealed new and fascinating insights into badger behaviour and social interactions which he will discuss.

Everyone welcome  - small charge for non members of the Yorkshire Mammal Group -£3.00 entry £1.50 for unwaged.

"7 Days of Badger Surveys" Please help protect your local badgersby going out and surveying your local area, recording activity at your local setts. Please record and report all details of live sghtings, road casualties, latrines and dung pitts, setts, hairs as well as footprints.
